RESPECT As we begin our school year, it is important that we set out our standards for respect from the beginning. Simple things like a smile, good eye contact or a “hello” can make a huge difference when forming relationships with new friends and helping others. Small gestures towards others show that you value them and will help to build respect. In the month of September we will be focusing on the Christian value - RESPECT. This is also one of our Key School values. As a whole school community, we will be discussing what RESPECT means and what it should look like within each classroom. We will be looking at: How we show respect for each other and adults in the school community. How children are encouraged to value and respect their own and other people’s belongings. How children are encouraged to show tolerance by accepting feelings, habits or beliefs, racial or ethnic origins that are different from their own. What patience, kindness and good manners should look like in our classroom.   [Open Document] | โ˜• Coffee Morning โ˜• - Friends Of Mullinahoe - Coffee Morning on Sunday 28th of September from 12.00 - 2.00 pm in the Ardboe Community Centre. 25th Sep 2024

As part of our World Around Us topic ‘Into the Woods’ the children in P2 have been busy carrying out lots of activities around our first topic book; Goldilocks and the Three Bears ๐Ÿงธ. The boys and girls have been busy during play designing and making new chairs and beds for baby bear ๐Ÿงฑ๐Ÿ‘ท๐Ÿ‘ท‍โ™€๏ธ. In numeracy they have made lovely new patterned blankets for all the bears and have been ordering items by size. They have used language such as big, bigger, small and smallest to explain their work. โœ๏ธ During Literacy time they have had the chance to make puppets to retell the story and make ‘Wanted’ posters to help the bears find Goldilocks. They have also been using their ICT ๐Ÿ’ป skills to create lovely illustrations for a new front cover of the Goldilocks book. We have picked some of their beautiful pieces and put them on display in our classroom for everyone to see! We thought we would let you have a look too ๐Ÿ‘€
Well done Primary 2! ๐Ÿ‘๐ŸŒŸ
