🌻 A Fun Compare and Contrast Activity in Primary Three

17th Sep 2025

The children have been busy measuring the length of 🌻 sunflowers.

They were amazed to see the difference between Aodhan’s sunflowers and the ones we have in class! 🌻

Aodhan’s sunflowers look like they’d been drinking George’s Marvellous Medicine, measuring at 2.6 metres tall.

Thank you Aodhan for sharing your photographs with us and they have really helped us to understand why using a measurement tool is important.

The tallest sunflower 🌻 recorded was in the USA and was nicknamed “Clover”, the sky scraping sunflower. It measured an astonishing 10.9 metres.
