A social story is a short, personalised narrative designed to help children understand and navigate social situations by providing clear, simple, and reassuring explanations.

It often includes details about what to expect, how to behave, and how to feel in a given situation.

For many children, especially at the start of a new school year, changes in routine or environment can cause feelings of anxiety or uncertainty.

To ease this transition, we’ve created a special social story for the children at Saint Patrick’s, aimed at helping them feel more comfortable and confident as they begin their new school year.
