RESPECT As we begin our school year, it is important that we set out our standards for respect from the beginning. Simple things like a smile, good eye contact or a “hello” can make a huge difference when forming relationships with new friends and helping others. Small gestures towards others show that you value them and will help to build respect. In the month of September we will be focusing on the Christian value - RESPECT. This is also one of our Key School values. As a whole school community, we will be discussing what RESPECT means and what it should look like within each classroom. We will be looking at: How we show respect for each other and adults in the school community. How children are encouraged to value and respect their own and other people’s belongings. How children are encouraged to show tolerance by accepting feelings, habits or beliefs, racial or ethnic origins that are different from their own. What patience, kindness and good manners should look like in our classroom.   [Open Document] | ☕ Coffee Morning ☕ - Friends Of Mullinahoe - Coffee Morning on Sunday 28th of September from 12.00 - 2.00 pm in the Ardboe Community Centre. A Visit from Lead Midwife Oonagh

12th Dec 2024

Today the children in P3 had a very special visit from Lead Midwife Oonagh.

The children have been learning all about the birth of the baby Jesus at Christmas.

Oonagh chatted to the children about how to take care of a newborn baby and the importance of keeping the newborn baby warm.

Oonagh explained the important measuring duties carried out by the midwife in hospital. She demonstrated how to measure the length of the newborn baby and how to measure the circumference of the head.

Aria Rose volunteered to get her baby Grace’s length and head circumference measured. We were delighted to find out that baby Grace’s measurements were all within the normal range.

After the presentation the children asked Midwife Oonagh lots of interesting questions about her job and about caring for a newborn baby.

Primary Three would like to to say a very big thank you to Oonagh for coming to visit our class today and for all the threats she gave the class.

We would like to bless all the midwives in our community and we pray that God will bless them and keep them safe in their work. 🙏🏻
