Easter Egg Design & Rolling Competition 🐣 Please boil an egg at home and decorate it with your own design. It can be any theme — not just Easter. You might choose sports, family, television, books, or anything else you enjoy. You can use paints or markers to decorate your egg. Remember to add your name (or initials) and your class so the eggs don’t get mixed up. Bring your decorated egg into school on Tuesday 31st of March. Please wrap your egg carefully when bringing it into school and class teachers will safely store all the eggs until Wednesday 1st of April. On Wednesday 1st of April, we will help judge the winners in each class and also see which eggs roll best! Of course there will be other fun Easter activities along the way, maybe even a little Easter treat! [Open Image]

Activities in P6/7!

9th Feb 2026

All of our pupils thoroughly enjoyed Number Day on Thursday 5th February, which was held in support of the NSPCC. Thank you to everyone who generously sent in donations, your support is very much appreciated.

The day was full of fun and learning, with teachers switching classes for the morning to deliver mental maths lessons in a different classroom.

Our P6/7 pupils loved every moment of Mrs Haycock’s fun and interactive numeracy session, which kept them fully engaged throughout.

Pupils enjoyed taking part in a range of numeracy games, rotating around several stations in the classroom. Activities included Bingo, Shut the Box, Snap, Mental Maths challenges, and Division and Multiplication Dominoes. The variety ensured pupils were active, challenged, and had lots of fun while developing their numeracy skills.

In class, pupils have been learning about the Victorians. As part of their art work, they enjoyed tracing an outline of their head and shoulders and painting their designs to create silhouette art, a popular art form during the Victorian era.

On Friday the P6/7 pupils had great fun making pizzas, preparing them beautifully with decorative and healthy toppings. They went down a treat — there was nothing left!

Finally, congratulations to the pupils who took part in the Credit Union Quiz. They worked hard to prepare and thoroughly enjoyed the challenge. Well done to everyone involved!
