Today our pupils enjoyed an engaging talk on how to travel safely to and from school by bus.
They learned the importance of sensible behaviour at the bus stop, waiting well back from the road, and boarding the bus in an organised, calm manner.
During the session, children were reminded to stay seated with their seatbelts fastened, to use the bell appropriately, and to follow all bus rules to ensure a safe journey for everyone.
Kevin from Translink also discussed how to cross the road safely after getting off the bus and waiting until the bus has pulled away and the road is clear before crossing.
With darker mornings and evenings, the children were encouraged to wear reflective or high-visibility clothing so they can be easily seen when getting on or off the bus.
Overall, the chat reinforced key safety habits that help keep every child safe on their daily journey.
