🦋 Our Butterfly Adventure – A Special Day in Primary 2! 🦋
What a wonderful and exciting day we had in Primary 2!
Over the past few weeks, we have been carefully watching our tiny caterpillars grow and change. We learned all about their life cycle – from caterpillar, to chrysalis, and finally… beautiful butterflies! The children showed so much curiosity and kindness as they observed the changes each day.
Today was the most magical part of our journey. Our four butterflies were ready to be released!
We took them outside and gathered together. Everyone was very quiet and gentle as we opened the container. One by one, our butterflies stretched their wings and flew off into the world. It was such a special moment, and the children were full of excitement and wonder as they watched them fly away.
🌼 We talked about how butterflies help plants grow by pollinating flowers.
🌞 We also remembered how important it is to be kind and gentle with all living things.
The children have learned so much from this experience – not just about science, but about patience, care, and the beauty of nature.
We are so proud of our little butterfly experts!
You might like to ask your child:
- What was your favourite part of watching the caterpillars?
- What happens inside the chrysalis?
- How did you feel when the butterflies flew away?
Well done, Primary 2 – what an amazing job you have done! 🦋✨
