April News!

1st May 2026

We have had a very busy and enjoyable month in P6/7, with pupils taking part in a wide range of exciting activities and events.

One of the highlights of April was our P7 Bake Sale, which was a tremendous success. There was an outstanding selection of cakes, bakes and buns, and the whole school thoroughly enjoyed the event. We were delighted with the incredible support from so many of our parents and grandparents. Thank you to our entire school community for supporting our annual bake sale, and a special thank you to everyone who baked or purchased items.

Our P7 pupils did a fantastic job presenting their baked goods and demonstrated excellent customer service throughout the event. We would also like to thank our P6 pupils, who supported and mentored our KS1 pupils, helping them to choose and purchase their treats. It truly was a wonderful occasion for everyone involved.

We were also pleased to welcome Chloe from the Bank of Ireland, who delivered an engaging Money Smart workshop. Pupils learned valuable lessons about credit and debit cards, budgeting, and the importance of saving. The session was thoroughly enjoyed, and each pupil had the opportunity to select a prize from the lucky dip bag.

Our pupils have also been enjoying their GarageBand sessions with Eamon, where they have been developing their creativity by composing and producing their own music using the app.

In addition, P6/7 pupils took part in the Eco Vision Competition organised by Mid Ulster Council. They created a range of impressive illustrations and informative posters, all promoting the important message of reducing waste and “feeding the future.” We are very proud of the effort and creativity shown in all entries—well done everyone!

Finally, we would like to congratulate our P7 pupils Raina Tennyson & Jessica O’Neill for participating in the Mid Ulster Council Eco Speak & Eco Vision Competitions.

Raina worked extremely hard in preparing her speech and we are all very proud of her efforts.Well done.

Congratulations to Jessica for winning the Eco Vision Competition!

It has been an action packed April!
