RESPECT As we begin our school year, it is important that we set out our standards for respect from the beginning. Simple things like a smile, good eye contact or a “hello” can make a huge difference when forming relationships with new friends and helping others. Small gestures towards others show that you value them and will help to build respect. In the month of September we will be focusing on the Christian value - RESPECT. This is also one of our Key School values. As a whole school community, we will be discussing what RESPECT means and what it should look like within each classroom. We will be looking at: How we show respect for each other and adults in the school community. How children are encouraged to value and respect their own and other people’s belongings. How children are encouraged to show tolerance by accepting feelings, habits or beliefs, racial or ethnic origins that are different from their own. What patience, kindness and good manners should look like in our classroom.   [Open Document] | ☕ Coffee Morning ☕ - Friends Of Mullinahoe - Coffee Morning on Sunday 28th of September from 12.00 - 2.00 pm in the Ardboe Community Centre. Celebrating Success in Primary Three

5th Sep 2025

A Brilliant Start to Primary Three!

Primary Three has had a fantastic and productive first week back at school, filled with energy, enthusiasm, and lots of learning.

We kicked off the week by celebrating a special birthday and exploring exciting topics such as data handling—comparing the number of boys and girls in our class—and number work through addition, subtraction, and solving word problems together. The children enjoyed reading the poem ‘My First Day in Primary Three’, working in pairs to creatively change the final line and share their ideas with the class. We also took time to reflect on our summer holidays, completed fun fact sheets, and practiced talking and listening in groups. A highlight of the week was discovering how much sugar is in everyday foods and discussing healthier snack choices. We explored the theme of Respect, learning what it means and how to treat others kindly and fairly. To round off our amazing week, we joined together for a wonderful whole school assembly.

It’s been a happy and respectful start to the year, and we’re looking forward to all the exciting learning ahead!
