RESPECT As we begin our school year, it is important that we set out our standards for respect from the beginning. Simple things like a smile, good eye contact or a “hello” can make a huge difference when forming relationships with new friends and helping others. Small gestures towards others show that you value them and will help to build respect. In the month of September we will be focusing on the Christian value - RESPECT. This is also one of our Key School values. As a whole school community, we will be discussing what RESPECT means and what it should look like within each classroom. We will be looking at: How we show respect for each other and adults in the school community. How children are encouraged to value and respect their own and other people’s belongings. How children are encouraged to show tolerance by accepting feelings, habits or beliefs, racial or ethnic origins that are different from their own. What patience, kindness and good manners should look like in our classroom.   [Open Document] | ☕ Coffee Morning ☕ - Friends Of Mullinahoe - Coffee Morning on Sunday 28th of September from 12.00 - 2.00 pm in the Ardboe Community Centre. Chinese New Year 🧧

12th Feb 2024

Chinese New Year is the main Chinese festival of the year. As the Chinese use the Lunar calendar for their festivals, the date of the New Year changes from year to year. The date corresponds to the new moon (black moon) in either late January or February. This year, Chinese New Year’s Day was celebrated on 10th February.

This year is the year of the Dragon 🐉

P4 have been very busy finding out all about this festival and completed their study today by participating in different carousel activities which included tangram puzzles, paper lanterns, dragon masks, jigsaw puzzles and other numeracy, literacy and ICT activities.

🧧 I am very impressed with how much information the children have remembered about this colourful and interesting festival!
