Our P5/6 class (Mr Quinlivan) and our P6 class (Mr Lavery) are going to the Seamus Heaney HomePlace in Bellaghy tomorrow Tuesday the 21 March. These two classes will also be celebrating Odd Socks Day tomorrow. We ask that as well as wearing their school uniforms these two classes wear odd socks or bright coloured socks on their trip. Children are asked to wear odd coloured socks because chromosomes look like socks! It also helps us celebrate that we are all unique and that all children should be allowed to be themselves.
The World Down syndrome 2023 theme is 'We Decide'. This is a focus on the right of those living with Down syndrome to participate.
