Dragon’s Den Event!

18th May 2026

Today, our Primary 7 pupils took part in an exciting and inspiring Dragon’s Den event! Working in four teams, the children developed and presented their own business ideas after weeks of preparation and research.

Our teams were:

  • Eco-Blooms
  • That’s My Mug
  • The Beauty of the Loughshore
  • Pocket Pals

Each group worked incredibly hard to research a product they believed would be successful within our school community.

The pupils explored their target market, product names and designs, suppliers, profit margins and marketing strategies. They also prepared presentations, demonstrating excellent ICT, communication and teamwork skills throughout the process.

We are extremely proud of every single pupil. They presented their ideas with enthusiasm, organisation and confidence, impressing everyone with the exceptionally high standard of work produced.

A special thank you to Julie McConville from McConville’s Shop, Hanna O’Neill from Anaconda and Mrs Mulholland for being part of our Dragon’s Den panel and for providing the children with such valuable feedback and encouragement.

The pupils have greatly enhanced their skills in ICT, communication, creativity, art, money management, organisation and teamwork during this project.

After careful consideration by the panel, the selected business idea to move forward was Pocket Pals! Our P7 pupils are now very excited to begin creating and launching this product within our school community.

It was a wonderful day and a fantastic achievement for all involved.
Well done, everyone!
