♻️ Runners Up from the Eco-Schools Vision Competition
The children in Primary Seven took part in the Mid Ulster Eco Vision Art Competition.
EcoVision is a creative poster competition offering school pupils across the district the opportunity to design eye catching artwork spreading important environmental messages. Entries were received from 24 schools with both a primary and secondary category introduced for this year.
The topic chosen for the Primary category, open to P6 and 7 pupils, was ‘Waste Less, Feed the Future’ and the secondary topic was ‘Don’t Mess Up Mid Ulster. Both topics encouraged participants to use their creativity to explore the impact of food waste and litter, demonstrating how wasted food and litter affect the world around us.
The winning artwork by Jessica O’Neill St Patrick’s PS, Mullinahoe and Emily McKeown Cookstown High School will have their designs featured on a selection of bin lorries across Mid Ulster, with potential options to also include artwork from runners up.
We would like to send a big congratulations to the pupils from Saint Patrick’s who were runners-up within our school.
Congratulations to Seanie, Emilia, Olivia and Rosa.
