Festive cheer has certainly been in the air this week in P6/7! The children have been busy getting into the Christmas spirit, beginning with creating their very own Christmas hats in preparation for our school Christmas dinner. Their creativity and enthusiasm shone through in every design.
In class, the children have been practising for our upcoming Christmas Carol Service. They have been working hard to learn the hymns and are sounding more confident each day. We look forward to sharing their beautiful singing with you soon.
As part of our literacy work, the class has been composing their own pieces of Winter poetry. The children reflected on their recent Winter sensory walk, using what they saw, heard, and felt to inspire descriptive and imaginative writing.
In Religion we have been learning about Advent and its traditions. The children enjoyed crafting their own Advent wreaths and exploring the meaning behind each candle.
Today we celebrated our Christmas dinner, and there was a wonderful, upbeat festive atmosphere throughout the hall. The children loved wearing their Christmas jumpers and sharing a special meal together. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day for all.
