This Friday, 30th January 2026, our P7 pupils will be continuing the tradition of making St Brigid’s crosses in school for St Brigid’s Day.
We are delighted that parents and grandparents of the P7 children have been invited to come in and share their skills, and enjoy taking part in this activity together.
Throughout the day, our P7 pupils will also demonstrate cross‑making to the other classes and will make a St Brigid’s cross that, once blessed, will go up in every classroom in the school.
To make the day a success, we really need your help with one important thing:
🟢 We are looking for donations of dry, green rushes. 🟢
These can be brought to school on Friday morning 30th January (or before if they are ready).
Even a small bundle makes a big difference—so please spread the word among family, friends, neighbor's, and anyone who might have access to rushes.
Your support helps us keep this meaningful tradition alive for our pupils.
