RESPECT As we begin our school year, it is important that we set out our standards for respect from the beginning. Simple things like a smile, good eye contact or a “hello” can make a huge difference when forming relationships with new friends and helping others. Small gestures towards others show that you value them and will help to build respect. In the month of September we will be focusing on the Christian value - RESPECT. This is also one of our Key School values. As a whole school community, we will be discussing what RESPECT means and what it should look like within each classroom. We will be looking at: How we show respect for each other and adults in the school community. How children are encouraged to value and respect their own and other people’s belongings. How children are encouraged to show tolerance by accepting feelings, habits or beliefs, racial or ethnic origins that are different from their own. What patience, kindness and good manners should look like in our classroom.   [Open Document] | ☕ Coffee Morning ☕ - Friends Of Mullinahoe - Coffee Morning on Sunday 28th of September from 12.00 - 2.00 pm in the Ardboe Community Centre. Maths Week Ireland 2024

10th Oct 2024

As part of Maths Week Ireland the children are involved in a number of Maths related activities.

Our first fun activity has been A Guess The Number Of Sweets competition. The pupils are paying 50p to take a guess at the total number of sweets in our jar. Our P7 pupils will take the jar round every day up to next Friday for pupils to have a chance to take a guess. All money raised from this will go towards new numeracy games and equipment for each class.

Next week for homework we will be asking all our pupils to get into the Halloween spirit and design and make a 2D or 3D Shape Monster. The pupils will then bring their creation into school on Friday. They will be displayed in the Assembly Hall in their classes for everyone to see. We will select a winning monster/s from each class for the most creative idea and will present them with a special prize at our whole school assembly.

We look forward to seeing all the great idea our pupils can come up with and hope they enjoy all the maths related activities.
