Moortown Centenary Cup 2026.

21st Apr 2026

Thank you to St Peter’s Moortown for the invitation to their Girls’ Centenary Cup Competition. We enjoyed a fantastic day of football alongside Derrychrin PS, The Loup PS, Ballylifford PS and St Peter’s Moortown.

Thankfully, the weather stayed dry and our girls produced some excellent football throughout the day. Even more impressive was the fantastic attitude and sportsmanship shown by the team in every match.

The girls were also brilliant off the pitch all day and were a real credit to everyone. Their behaviour was excellent. Days out with a group like this are so enjoyable for everyone. The staff and supervisors in St Peter's Moortown commented on their behaviour and manners. They have made their parents, the school and their club very proud. They are a great advertisement for the school.

Our first game was against Derrychrin PS, who came out on top. We then secured great wins against The Loup PS and Ballylifford PS. Unfortunately, we were beaten by St Peter’s Moortown and while the results weren’t enough to qualify for the final, the girls can be extremely proud of their performances.

A huge thank you once again to St Peter’s Moortown for their warm hospitality and for organising such a well‑run and enjoyable event. It was a brilliant day out for everyone involved.
