Our New Eco Suggestion Box
The Eco Committee is delighted to announce the creation of a brand-new Eco Suggestion Box for pupils and staff! A huge thank you to Aoife and Caoimhe, who kindly designed and decorated this box for everyone in our school to enjoy. The Suggestion Box will be placed on the Eco Table in the entrance hall, ready to collect your brilliant ideas.
A suggestion box is a great way for children to share their thoughts and take an active role in making our school more eco-friendly. It encourages creativity, responsibility, and teamwork by giving everyone a voice. To use the box, simply write your idea on a slip of paper and pop it inside. The Eco Committee will review all suggestions and try to make as many as possible happen!
Here are five ideas you might suggest:
- Plant more flowers and trees in the school grounds.
- Organise a “Plastic-Free Week.”
- Put up signs outside to let children know about different birds.
- Collect rainwater for watering plants.
- Set up a compost bin for food waste.
