REIM Internet safety workshop
We were delighted to welcome Reim Consulting to our school for an engaging and informative Internet Safety Workshop. The session gave our pupils valuable advice and practical guidance on how to stay safe and responsible online.
💡 Thinking Before We Post
Pupils explored the idea that everything we share online can be like a billboard—visible to a wide audience and difficult to take back. This helped reinforce the importance of being mindful about what we post.
🧠 The THINK Method
A key takeaway was the THINK method, encouraging students to ask:
- Is it True?
- Is it Helpful?
- Is it Inspiring?
- Is it Necessary?
- Is it Kind?
🔒 Protecting Personal Information
The workshop highlighted the risks of sharing personal details online. Pupils learned why it’s important to keep information like their full name, address, and school private.
🎂 Being Honest About Age Online
Another important message was the use of accurate dates of birth when signing up for apps. This ensures young people access age-appropriate content and stay protected by the right safety settings.
👏 A big thank you to Amanda from Reim Consulting for delivering such an insightful session and supporting our students in becoming safe, smart digital citizens!
