RESPECT As we begin our school year, it is important that we set out our standards for respect from the beginning. Simple things like a smile, good eye contact or a “hello” can make a huge difference when forming relationships with new friends and helping others. Small gestures towards others show that you value them and will help to build respect. In the month of September we will be focusing on the Christian value - RESPECT. This is also one of our Key School values. As a whole school community, we will be discussing what RESPECT means and what it should look like within each classroom. We will be looking at: How we show respect for each other and adults in the school community. How children are encouraged to value and respect their own and other people’s belongings. How children are encouraged to show tolerance by accepting feelings, habits or beliefs, racial or ethnic origins that are different from their own. Swim Ulster Primary School Championships 2022.

Well done to Hollie who represented St Patrick's PS Mullinahoe at the Swim Ulster Primary School Championships 2022 on Saturday 8th October at the Aurora Aquatic & Leisure Complex in Bangor. The event brought 165 Primary School teams together, with 521 competitors taking part, it was open to swimmers aged 9-12 years.

Hollie took part in the 50m freestyle and the 50m back stroke. She came second in her heats and finished 17 overall in a field of 71 competitors. We are all very proud of you and well done on this amazing achievement. 

Congratulations to all swimmers who took part and represented their schools, with everyone taking home their Swim Ulster Primary School swim cap for 2022. Massive thank you to all Swim Ulster volunteers who run this brilliant event.
