A huge well done to one of our P5 pupils who competed in the Enniskillen Lakelanders Junior Gala held in Omagh on Saturday 26th April 2026.
The gala brought together over 200 young swimmers from all the top clubs including Breifne, City of Derry, Cookstown, East Cavan, Lakelanders, Limavady, Marlins, Riversdale Otters, Swilly Seals, Dungannon, Strule Dolphins, and Swim Belfast.
In such a competitive field his dedication and hard work truly shone through as he earned a superb silver medal in the 50m Butterfly event.
Everyone at St Patrick’s, along with his family, anre incredibly proud of this achievement. He is a wonderful example of what can be accomplished through determination and consistent effort.
Sport is about so much more than winning medals. It helps children discover and develop their talents, builds character, confidence, and resilience, while promoting a healthy lifestyle and positive mental wellbeing. We are delighted that he continues to embrace all these benefits through his swimming journey.
A special mention too for the lovely photo celebrating with his sister — a perfect reminder that success is even sweeter when shared with those who support you. He is a fantastic role model for all our pupils.
