This term P1 have been exploring the theme of Food through a rich multisensory experience inspired by The Very Hungry Caterpillar.🐛🍎🍐🍓🍊
The children engaged wonderfully with the story using touch, taste, sound and visuals to support their understanding. They explored a variety of foods from the book, gaining opportunities to smell, feel and taste the different textures and flavours.
We created stunning artwork for our display, using bright colours and sensory materials to represent the caterpillar, butterfly, numbers and foods.
