RESPECT As we begin our school year, it is important that we set out our standards for respect from the beginning. Simple things like a smile, good eye contact or a “hello” can make a huge difference when forming relationships with new friends and helping others. Small gestures towards others show that you value them and will help to build respect. In the month of September we will be focusing on the Christian value - RESPECT. This is also one of our Key School values. As a whole school community, we will be discussing what RESPECT means and what it should look like within each classroom. We will be looking at: How we show respect for each other and adults in the school community. How children are encouraged to value and respect their own and other people’s belongings. How children are encouraged to show tolerance by accepting feelings, habits or beliefs, racial or ethnic origins that are different from their own. What patience, kindness and good manners should look like in our classroom.   [Open Document] | β˜• Coffee Morning β˜• - Friends Of Mullinahoe - Coffee Morning on Sunday 28th of September from 12.00 - 2.00 pm in the Ardboe Community Centre. Visit from an Author πŸ“š

26th May 2023

Today we were delighted to welcome Co. Down author Declan Carville to our school and to the P4 class. Declan spoke to the children about the books he has written and in particular ‘The Magic Harp’, ‘Nelly Fandango’ and ‘The Fairy Glen’. We had a wonderful afternoon listening to Declan, looking at beautiful original illustrations from his wonderful books, asking questions and finding out about the life and work of this author. πŸ“šβœπŸ»
Declan was very impressed with the questions he was asked about his work and is convinced that there are future authors and illustrators in our class! πŸ˜„πŸŽ¨

Thank you to the AMMA Creative Learning Team for organising the Workshop and special thanks to Declan for visiting our class and for the signed copies of your books. πŸ“š

Thank you boys and girls for all your fantastic Book Reviews. πŸ‘πŸ‘ I am looking forward to reading Declan’s first ‘Chapter Book’ - The Rhythm of the Night - to you all  next week when we return to school! πŸ˜„

Enjoy the long Bank Holiday weekend! β˜€οΈβ˜€οΈ
