Primary 6 and Primary 7 pupils celebrated World Book Day in style with a cosy pyjama day, arriving at school dressed in snuggly clothes and ready to enjoy a day filled with books.
The relaxed atmosphere helped everyone settle in for quiet reading time, where our pupils explored their favourite stories, shared ideas with classmates and recommended books to one another.
Throughout the day, the classes took part in a range of fun literacy activities. Pupils worked together to complete a lively World Book Day table quiz and showed off their creativity by acting out scenes from the much-loved story The Twits by Roald Dahl.
One of the highlights of the day was the exciting book swap. Pupils eagerly exchanged books and each had the opportunity to choose a new story to take home. The buzz of excitement in the room showed just how much everyone enjoyed discovering new books. It was a wonderful celebration of reading, and a day that all pupils thoroughly enjoyed. 📚✨
