Primary 2 had such an enjoyable and exciting World Book Day! We began our celebrations by taking part in the whole‑school Book Swap, where the children loved choosing a new story to take home. A real highlight of our morning was spending time with the lovely Primary 5 children who became our reading buddies, they joined us to share stories and read aloud with our class. The children were so engaged and loved every moment.
We were also delighted to welcome Mrs Mulgrew from Primary 1 into our classroom. She read us a wonderful story, and the children listened beautifully—such a special treat!
In the afternoon, we continued the fun with another J2E lesson, where the children created their own front covers for todays text The Very Hungry Caterpillar. This links perfectly with the start of our new WAU topic, Let’s Get Growing! The boys and girls were so creative and proud of their designs.
What a busy, joyful, book‑filled day we had in Primary 2! Thank you to Miss Lyons for organising todays events. 📚✨
